This program offers a very special plus: The exhibition of step horses; the world’s best mounting horse, because of its soft and different way of walking, which we will be able to enjoy in its full splendor. As a complement, we’ll have a chance to discover Trujillo’s cultural and archaeological attractions, with its main representative icons, such as the Huacas of the Sun and Moon, the impressive Archaeological Complex of Chan Chan, in the Moche Valley, museums, the city’s Historical Center, with its main colonial monuments and mansions, the Main Square (Plaza de Armas) and Cathedral, along with a tour to nearby places, in the countryside and valleys of exuberant beauty and spring-like climate, finally leading us to the emblematic Seaside Resort of Huanchaco, to enjoy the sea, its beaches and the exquisite marine food, like the famous Ceviche; Peru’s flag dish.

PROGRAM

DAY 01          Arrival in Trujillo / City Tour

• Reception at the airport or bus station and transfer to your hotel
• Breakfast at your hotel
• 9:00 a.m.: Visit of Trujillo’s Historical Center , the Huaca of the Dragon or Rainbow, Cassinelli Museum , Casa Urquiaga, Casa Emancipación, Iturregui Palace , Main Square (Plaza de Armas) and observation of the Cathedral’s façade
• Transfer back to your hotel
• Lunch on your own account
• Free afternoon for purchases, in shoe and handicraft fairs
• Dinner on your own account
• Hotel night.

DAY 02           Tour at the Huacas of the Sun and Moon / Chan Chan / Exhibition of Paso Horses

• Breakfast at your hotel
• 9:00 a.m.: Departure on a tourist transportation, to the Moche Valley, tour of the Pyramids of the Sun and Moon, where we’ll have a chance to appreciate the huge walls that compose the Huaca of the Sun and nearly half a km. further along, the imposing Huaca of the Moon
• Tour of the Archaeological Complex of Chan Chan, the impressive sun-dried mud brick city, with its beautiful architecture, decorated walls, narrow streets, stairways, temples and squares
• Lunch on your own account
• Tour to the Association of Breeders and Owners of Peruvian Step Horses, where we will observe exhibition activities executed by beautiful step horses, considered as the world’s best mounting horses, because of their soft and different way to walk
• Dinner on your own account
• Hotel night.

DAY 03          Huanchaco’s Seaside Resort / Departure Transfer

• Breakfast at your hotel
• Tour to Huanchaco’s Seaside Resort, observation of the “caballitos de totora” (Little totora horses) which are a kind of crafted raft which proceeds from the Mochica and Chimú cultures, and visit to the handicraft fair
• Lunch on your own account
• Free afternoon
• At the indicated time, transfer to the airport or bus station.
