Jurassic Huaraz  5 days/ 4nights

This program contains several of the Region of Ancash´s main tourist circuits, with the delightful city of Huaraz and the famous Callejón de Huaylas, contemplating the White and Black Cordilleras, the Huayhuash Mountain Range and the snow-capped Mount Huascarán, among many others, as well as lagoons and Andean villages, with their ancestral customs, which shape landscapes of an indescribable beauty, without forgetting the past, with the dinosaurs´ footprints of 140 million years ago. This tour is complemented with the region´s exquisite gastronomy and relaxing thermal baths. The trip from Lima to Huaraz takes place on a comfortable night service Cruzero bus, which allows you to save two nights at hotels and gain time for excursions.

JURASSIC HUARAZ ROGRAM

DAY 01          Lima / Huaraz

• 9:00 p.m.: Departure from Lima , on a Cruz del Sur Cruzero service bus.

DAY 02          Arrival in Huaraz / Tour of the Callejón de Huaylas

• 6:00 a.m.: Arrival in Huaraz and transfer to your hotel
• Breakfast at your hotel
• Tour of the Callejón de Huaylas, visit of the villages of Caraz, Carhuaz and Yungay, as well as to Llanganuco´s Lagoon
• Lunch in Caraz
• Visit of Taricá, a craftspeople´s village
• Return to Huaraz and transfer to your hotel
• Dinner on your own account.

DAY 03           Observing Dinosaurs´ Footprints / White Cordillera / Huayhuash Cordillera

• Breakfast at your hotel
• 6:00 a.m.: Departure to see the dinosaurs´ footprints, passing by the villages of Recuay, Ticapampa and Catac, contemplating the White Cordillera, Conococha Lagoon, Antamina and the Huayhuash Mountain Range
• Short hike, observing more than 100 footprints of 12 different kinds of prehistoric animals that would correspond to the Early Cretaceous era, about 140 million years ago
• Box lunch
• Return to Huaraz and transfer to your hotel
• Dinner on your own account.

DAY 04          City Tour / Thermal Baths of Chancos

• Very early departure to the village of Marcará and recreation at the Thermal Baths of Chancos
• Breakfast in the village
• City tour, visit of the La Soledad Church , trout breeding farm and Monterrey´s Thermal Baths
• Typical farewell lunch (Pachamanca)
• Free afternoon
• 9:30 p.m.: Transfer to the bus station and departure to Lima, on a Cruzero bus service.

DAY 05          Arrival in Lima

• 6:00 a.m.: Arrival in the city of Lima .
