Energetic Inca Trail to Machu Picchu  (03 Days / 02 Nights) from USD $ 314

This is a program designed for people in good physical shape, who test their courage, strength and wish to go on a circuit of exciting adventure and direct contact with nature.

In reality, it is the same route as that of the traditional Inca Trail, but with additional daily hiking schedules and other camping spots.

However, the fact of enjoying the hike on the ancestral Incan route, discovering the mysteries of trails, stairways, bridges and archaeological compounds, surrounded by abundant flora, fauna and beautiful landscapes, makes it a spectacular and unforgettable experience.

PROGRAM

DAY 01          Cusco / Chillca / Wayllabamba / Llulluchapampa

• Personal porters to carry backpacks, sleeping bags and matresses (Maximum 6.5 kilos per participant, according to regulations)
• 4:00 a.m.: Departure from the city of Cusco, to the locality of Chillca (Km. 82)
• 6:00 a.m.: Beginning of the hike on the Íncas’ route
• Short visit of the Pre-Colombian Archaeological Complex of Llaqtapata
• 4:00 a.m.: Departure from the city of Cusco, to the locality of Chillca (Km. 82)
• 6:00 a.m.: Beginning of the hike on the Íncas’ route
• Short visit of the Pre-Colombian Archaeological Complex of Llaqtapata
• Lunch in the area of Wayllabamba
• Arrival in Llulluchapampa, dinner and overnight stay at the campsite (Hiking time: About 9 hours).

DAY 02           Llulluchapampa / Paq’aymayo / Runkuraqay / Sayaqmarka / Phuyupatamarka Wiñaywayna

• Breakfast
• Uphill hike to the Warmiwañuska Mountain Pass ( 4,200 m .a.s.l.)
• Downhill hike to the small valley of Paq’aymayo
• Uphill hike to the Runkuraqay Mountain Pass
• Guided visit of the Archaeological Complex of Runkuraqay
• Guided visit of the Archaeological Complex of Sayaqmarka
• Lunch in Sayaqmarka
• Guided visit of the Archaeological Complex of Phuyupatamarka
• Downhill hike to the Archaeological Complex of Wiñaywayna, dinner and overnight stay at a campsite

(Hiking time: About 10 hours).

DAY 03          Wiñaywayna / Intipunku / Machu Picchu

• Breakfast
• Hike to the Intipunku (Sun´s Gate)
• Guided visit of the Incan City of Machu Picchu, Wonder of the Modern World, located among abrupt mountains and almost inaccessible places, presenting a set of houses, squares, stairways, towers, walls, water fountains, ceremonial places, such as the Intiwatana (Solar observatory), sacred temples and benched terraces, with an incredible urban harmony, displaying the Incan engineering’s high level of development.
• Downhill bus ride to the locality of Machu Picchu Pueblo (Aguas Calientes)
• Buffet lunch
• Recreation at the local thermal baths (Optional and on your own account)
• 4:43 p.m.: Departure of the tourist train from Machu Picchu Pueblo to Cusco
• 8:13 p.m.: Arrival at Poroy’s train station and transfer to your hotel.
