Geographical Situation
The Region of Lambayeque is situated on the Northern coast of Peru, covering small Andean areas in the North-east of its territory, and it has a surface of 14,231.30 km².
Geographical Relief
Its geographical relief is relatively flat, with small hills and elevated plains called pampas, formed by rivers which have their origin in the Andean foothills. 94% of its territory is located on the coastal area, and the region covers four altitudinal levels: Coast, maritime yunga, quechua and suni.
